Koh Samet is a small island located in Rayong province. Koh Samet is not far from Pattaya. How long does it take to get to Koh Samet from Pattaya? It takes around forty-five minutes to get to Ban Phae fishing villiage by mini bus or car. At Ban Phae you can travel to Koh Samet by ferry or speed boat.
The island is about 6.5 kilometers from Ban Phae.There are two main ferry services to the island. The ferry service takes around 30 minutes from the pier in Ban Phae to the main pier at Koh Samet. The ticket will cost you 100 baht each way.
The speed boat taxi takes around ten minutes depending upon which part of the island you want to travel to. The fare for the speed boat to Koh Samet is 200 baht per person one way.
